Belisama Irish Dance presents Rhythm of Fire

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with Belisama Irish Dance! This family friendly show features dancers from Santa Fe, Los Alamos and Rio Rancho sharing the joy of the Irish with toe tapping, foot stomping dances, and plenty of Irish jigs. Enjoy Live music from Lisa Carman and Scott Shane inspired by their recent trip to the British Isles. Maria Jones on fiddle, Bethany Filer on whistle and Adrienne Bellis on bodhran and vocals. Irish music and dance on St. Patty's Day, a perfect combination!

Belisama Irish Dance, founded in 2006, is focused on the dancer as an individual with the goal being a well-rounded person as well as a good dancer. We have a strong focus on performance and choreography, and we perform frequently in the communities of Santa Fe, Los Alamos, and Albuquerque. Students are invited to create choreography as well, which encourages creative thinking and gives the opportunity to teach others.

We have also worked in collaboration with internationally known choreographers and performers such as Michael Patrick Gallagher, a former Irish dance world champion and lead of Riverdance; former Stomp member Seán Curran; Boston Sean Nós (old-style Irish dance) dancer and choreographer Kieran Jordan.
