Festival of Song

Dramatic soprano Alexandra LoBianco makes her Santa Fe Opera debut this season as the Foreign Princess in Rusalka. Lauded for her versatility and musicality, LoBianco recently stepped in as Leonore in Fidelio with the Wiener Staatsoper while simultaneously performing the title role in Turandot. She returns to the Lyric Opera of Chicago this season for Wagner's Ring Cycle before making her Metropolitan Opera debut in Der Rosenkavalier. Internationally acclaimed bass Scott Conner made his Santa Fe Opera debut in 2018 as Mustafa in The Italian Girl in Algiers and returns this season as Don Basilio in The Barber of Seville. Regularly appearing with many of the world's greatest opera houses including the Metropolitan Opera, Paris National Opera, and Covent Garden, Conner is often praised for his rich, robust bass notes, elegant stature, and magnetic presence.
